Scheduling breaks when driving

I drive three hours every Saturday to see my sister. How often should I stop during my trip?

Schedule a break at least every two hours or at least every 100 miles. Get plenty of sleep (at least seven hours) the night before the trip, and try to travel at times when you are normally awake. Also, stop driving if you become sleepy. Fatigue impacts reaction time, judgment and vision, causing drivers who are very sleepy to behave in similar ways to those who are drunk.
