My neighbor takes tai chi at a local senior center and said it has really helped her balance. Could it help me?

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, a lack of exercise can lead to weak legs, which increases the chance of falling. Exercise programs like tai chi can increase leg strength and improve balance and coordination – including when getting in and out of a vehicle. Exercise programs also can make falls less likely and reduce risk of falling by half for older people.
